Job Description
Accela Application Developer needed for a Contract to Hire opportunity with SOC's client to work onsite in Anaheim, CA.

Summary
Perform as an Applications Developer/Analyst for our client. Primary responsibility is for the support of the client's business applications which include maintenance activities of these applications such as upgrade initiatives, development of reports and interfaces, user support, software vendor coordination, interacting with business application owners in identifying business and technology needs, assessing business process improvements for operational efficiency, providing technical and process guidelines in applications development and operations.

Job Responsibilities
  • Maintain the various applications for departments including application upgrade, patch maintenance and other related maintenance activities.
  • Develop and maintain related applications and interfaces in support of client initiatives.
  • Gather business requirements and document specifications for development of application, reports and interfaces.
  • Develop and implement processes for application migration, testing and support maintenance.
  • Provide production support for applications, technical environments and interfacing systems by assisting or interacting with peers and users in troubleshooting issues, change implementation and support maintenance.
  • Prioritize and assign target completion dates for fixes and change orders in concurrence with application users and team members.
  • Follow existing business processes and operational guidelines when supporting the business application users, vendors and maintenance activities such as escalation of issue/system downtime, change order implementation, perform root cause analysis, apply patch, etc.
  • Work with various client Account groups such as the Network Team, Hosting Team and Workplace Services Team in delivering quality and timely services/deliverables.
  • Follow through on project development/production issues and customer inquiries to ensure resolution and proper root-cause analysis in order to provide quality and timely service delivery.
  • Coordinate with client staff, applications and software vendors in terms of business applications support, incidents and issue resolution.
    • Able to support 24x7 business operations and be available onsite during business hours.
  • Additional responsibilities include maintenance of Microsoft SharePoint sites and providing support to Microsoft SharePoint users for interactive collaboration, day to day operations support and documentation.

Required Skills
  • Bachelor's degree preferably in the fields of Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
  • Must have a minimum of five (5) years working experience in developing, upgrading, and maintaining any web based or mobile applications.
  • Must have a minimum of five (5) years proven work experience as an applications developer using C#, .NET, Java or any object oriented programming language.
  • Must have a minimum of two (2) years hands-on programming experience using SQL, PL/SQL or any other equivalent versions.
  • Must have a minimum of two (2) years hands-on experience in using Accela Permitting and Land Management Application.
  • Must have a minimum of two (2) years hands-on experience in maintaining Microsoft SharePoint sites using SharePoint components/templates and workflow.
  • Must have hands-on experience using PowerBI or any equivalent reporting or business intelligence tools (i.e. Tableau, Crystal Reports, Business Objects, etc.)
  • Must have experience acting as a support contact in dealing with client and vendor requests.
  • Must have working experience in maintaining business applications including troubleshooting and resolving application related issues or incidents.
  • Must have experience in applications development, version upgrades and system implementation.
  • Must have working experience or knowledge in maintaining reports using any third party reporting or Business Intelligence tools.
  • Must have good problem solving, troubleshooting and issue resolution, organization and planning skills.
  • Must have working experience or knowledge with relational databases such as Oracle and/or MS SQL Server.
  • Must have the ability to multi-task and provide off-hours support for production related business applications issues/incidents and/or technical environment support.
  • Must have excellent verbal communications, interpersonal skills and technical writing/documentation skills.
  • Must have the ability to train business application users and be able to develop technical documentation.
  • Must have the ability to learn quickly and adapt to multi-platform technical environment.

In compliance with the Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the pay rate for this role is $46-61/hr depending on specific experience. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
