management of a work-stream under supervision of the project manager or
independent management of a minor project with lower degree of
complexity.

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Engineering Project Manager to join our team. The Engineering Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of engineering projects, from inception to completion. This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a solid technical background in engineering. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully managing complex engineering projects within budget and schedule constraints.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage engineering projects from conception through to completion, ensuring adherence to project scope, budget, and timeline.
  • Coordinate project activities, including planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and task assignment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project objectives, requirements, and deliverables.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and budgets, and monitor progress against established targets.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks, issues, and conflicts, and implement effective solutions to ensure project success.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and communication, providing regular project updates and reports as needed.
  • Foster a culture of teamwork, collaboration, and innovation within the project team, and with external contractors, local port authority, and other governmental agencies.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and industry best practices throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Conduct post-project reviews to evaluate lessons learned and identify areas for improvement.
  • Mentor and coach junior team members, providing guidance and support to facilitate their professional development.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience (4+years) in engineering project management, with a track record of successfully delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools.
  • Solid understanding of engineering principles and practices, with experience in areas such as mechanical, electrical, or civil engineering.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions and drive continuous improvement.
  • PMP or other relevant project management certification is a plus.
  • Experience working in industry sectors such as energy, construction, manufacturing, or technology is desirable.
