Job Description

As an Oracle EBS Architect at Nidec, you will be responsible for assessing, designing, and implementing improvements to our Oracle EBS environment, ensuring that it aligns with the company's strategic objectives. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and vendors to drive process efficiency and optimize the utilization of Oracle EBS across the organization.

Responsibilities & Duties

  • Oracle EBS Landscape Assessment: Conduct a comprehensive analysis of our existing Oracle EBS landscape, including modules, configurations, integrations, and performance.
  • Solution Design: Collaborate with business stakeholders to define and document business requirements and translate them into Oracle EBS solutions that enhance business processes.
  • Architecture Planning: Develop and maintain a strategic Oracle EBS architecture roadmap that aligns with the company's long-term goals.
  • Technology Evaluation: Stay current with Oracle EBS advancements and assess their applicability to the organization. Recommend and implement new technologies or features that can improve system performance and functionality.
  • Process Optimization: Identify areas of inefficiency and design solutions to streamline business processes using Oracle EBS functionality.
  • Integration Management: Oversee integration projects, ensuring seamless data flow between Oracle EBS and other business systems.
  • Security and Compliance: Collaborate with the security team to ensure Oracle EBS environments meet security and compliance standards, including data privacy regulations.
  • Performance Tuning: Monitor and optimize Oracle EBS performance to ensure high availability and scalability and troubleshoot any performance-related issues.
  • Vendor Management: Work closely with Oracle or third-party vendors to resolve technical issues and leverage vendor support for enhancements.
  • Documentation and Training: Maintain comprehensive documentation of Oracle EBS configurations and processes. Provide training and support to end-users and IT teams.
  • Change Management: Lead change management efforts to ensure smooth transitions during Oracle EBS upgrades and implementations.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • 10+ years of experience in Oracle EBS architecture and implementation in a complex global environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Oracle E-Business Suite modules and technologies.
  • Proficiency in Oracle database administration.
  • Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with various stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Oracle certifications are a plus.
