Position Title: Electrical Engineer

Location: St. Charles, MO

Position Summary: The Electrical Engineer's key role is to provide electrical design and support across many projects in the organization. Projects are very diverse in nature, ranging from military and industrial to marketing focused designs. This position will collaborate with cross - functional teams to gather project specifications to deliver high-quality designs. The Electrical Engineer supports the Estimating department assisting with quotes on future projects. Assists Electricians to ensure the proper execution of projects on the manufacturing floor.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead electrical designs, schematics, and material specifications for several projects simultaneously.
  • Participate in enhancing shop electrical procedures concerning tools, training, and materials.
  • Assist shop electrical employees in planning and troubleshooting of electrical systems.
  • Establish standardized electrical designs and practices.
  • Mentor coworkers on electrical principals and safety standards.
  • Support the Estimating department in project quotation.
  • Consistently keep the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system up to date with the latest quotes, delivery dates, and Purchase Orders (PO's).
  • Convert Quote into Purchase Requisition and update any pertinent notes or production instructions.
  • Maintain continuous communication with the Project Manager and Production team to proactively address existing and/or potential project issues.
  • Schedule all electrical installations both on and off site.

Required Skills:

Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering and 3 + years' experience in electrical system design.

Proficient with AutoCAD Electrical.

Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite.

Ability to quickly learn about the project or product being developed.

Ability to think critically and creatively, while working independently and cooperatively.

Ability to simultaneously organize and successfully execute multiple project responsibilities.

Must have excellent verbal and written communications skills both internally and externally.

Team focused communication style.

Ability to build and maintain relationships with both internal and external customers.

Strong initiative to address and solve problems.

Adapt to changing priorities in a dynamic and fast paced environment.

Strong attention to detail.

Strong organizational and multitasking skills.

Apply independent judgement regarding significant internal/external customer matters.

Preferred Skills:

5+ Years experience in 480/208 3 phase AC systems and power distribution, Low voltage DC power systems and/or industrial control systems.

Computer Skills: SolidWorks Electrical

Physical Skills:

Required use of fingers and hands to operate a computer.

Vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.

Must be able to remain in a stationary sitting position and move about the office.

Ability to climb stairs/ladder and be able to navigate in a shop environment and in a safe manner.

Occasional and infrequent travel is necessary, up to 2%, based on business needs.
