We work with people at home, at work, and in the community, through residential, employment, crisis response, behavioral, recovery, children's services, and day services. Our brand-new Idaho Mobile Crisis program is looking for Licensed Clinician to act as the crisis team leader through telehealth, telephone or in person. Clinician will also provide clinical crisis services to individuals in crisis and overall clinical support to individuals and staff working on the Mobile Response Team

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Clinician will provide clinical crisis services to individuals in crisis and overall clinical support to individuals and staff working on the Mobile Response Team. Must be willing to flex schedule accordingly to provide services, supports, care and treatment to individuals as required, respond immediately when dispatched on crisis calls, and be present to provide supervision to staff.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
    1. Complete crisis assessments, Columbia Suicide Severity Rating Scale (C-SSRS) and
    additional documentation as clinically indicated.
    2. Answer 100% of crisis dispatches, and support MRT response face-to-face to all crisis calls
    within and average of 60 minutes.
    3. Provide clinical and administrative support to MRT staff during assigned shift. Ensure MRT
    staff complete all required documentation in accordance with federal and state guidelines,
    contract requirements and/or standard of practice.
    4. Assess individuals for safety and facilitate appropriate actions to ensure safety of the individual
    and/or others.
    5. Develop crisis safety plans and assist in facilitating linkages to the appropriate level of care,
    and resources in the community.
    6. Follow up with individual's existing treatment provider(s) as appropriate to ensure the individual
    adheres to the crisis safety plan recommended actions for support/service.
    7. Facilitate referrals quickly to prevent escalation of crisis.
    8. Ensure customer service satisfaction surveys are given to individuals encountered by the
    MRTs.
    9. Ensure post crisis follow-up services are completed by the MRT within 72 hours of crisis
    disposition for individuals served, as well as any individual for whom it is clinically
    indicated requiring additional support.
    10. Complete necessary documentation in accordance with applicable policies and procedures,
    to meet all regulatory requirements and facilitate reimbursement.
    11. Review documentation completed by MCT staff utilizing established quality measures
    12. Comply with all standards to ensure the health and safety of all staff and individuals served

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Required Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of standards and organization policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of health care privacy and confidentiality rules.
  • Knowledge of standard health care business practices.

Required Skills:

  • Must possess & demonstrate critical thinking skills.
  • Skillful in use of electronic medical records systems
  • Skillful in working with people from diverse educational and cultural backgrounds.
  • Skillful in interpersonal communication needed to advocate for individuals, communicate with family members, healthcare professionals, support coordinators and others.

Required Ability:

  • Ability to oversee the services, supports, care and treatment provided to individuals Ability to direct, monitor, assesses, and train staff
  • Ability to conduct comprehensive functional assessments;
  • Ability to facilitate a positive atmosphere promoting holistic health, wellness and team cooperation;
  • Ability to use CPI strategies to de-escalate individuals experiencing acute crisis and/or interpersonal conflict

Expectations Regarding Quality and Quantity of Work:

  • Complete all progress notes/documentation for each Individual in crisis accurately at each contact.
  • Respond to all individual and staff concerns in a timely manner.
  • Completes summary of individual's response to services provided.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum:

  • LSW, LAC, LAMFT
  • At least two years' post-graduate experience working in a behavioral health setting, i.e., psychiatric hospital, outpatient clinic
  • Certification and ongoing training in crisis intervention curriculum
  • Valid CPR and First Aid Certification
  • Valid driver's license and auto insurance
  • Must be computer literate
  • Must be experienced and competent in profession and maintain any applicable license, training and/or certifications.

Preferred

  • LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the State of Idaho
  • Five years' experience working with individuals with mental illness, and substance-related disorders who are experiencing emotional or behavioral crisis.
