Wieland is hiring a Lube Tech I. The Lube Tech I will be responsible for servicing our fleet of equipment. You will inspet, service, and do minor repairs on forklifts and skid steer equipment in our garage. This role is located in Granite City, IL and will be fully on-site.

Starting Pay: $18-20 per hour

Schedule: 9:00 am-5:30 pm

Lube Tech Responsibilities:

Conduct maintenance inspections of all mobile and heavy equipment
• Knowledge of equipment such as material handlers, loaders, forklifts and skid steers
• Perform regular maintenance services on the equipment, including oil changes, fluid level checks and top offs, filter changes, oil and spark plug changes, wire changes, and tire changes.
• Complete service reports electronically in our Equipment Asset Management (EAM) system
• Work in a team environment to accomplish uptime goals and budget target.
• Perform routine inspection of work area to ensure proper housekeeping.
• Work well and take directions from others.
• Follow Daily Procedures & Protocols as set forth in job orientations and trainings.
• Have your own tools to complete assigned tasks.
• Other duties as assigned.

Lube Tech Qualifications:

• Working knowledge of hazards and safety precautions common to OSHA
• Mechanical ability and experience with automotive equipment
• Knowledge of forklift and steer equipment is preferred.
• You must provide your own basic hand tools.
• Valid Driver's License with insurance
• Ability to perform manual work requiring periods of extensive physical exertion and potential exposure to adverse weather conditions.
• Ability to communicate to teammates and shift leader.
• Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency.
• Must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Reach with hands and arms.
• Ability to stand, kneel, bend, sit and use stairs or a ladder.
• Sufficient education to read documents and/or written directives, make appropriate arithmetic equations and complete written documentation.
