Position Title: Service Advisor


Location: St. Charles, MO

Primary Responsibilities: The Service Advisor will serve as the point of contact for warranty assistance and customer support for a variety of unique products such as custom designed displays, trailers, and vehicles. This position will log warranties into IQS Nonconformance Module and open / close customer support manufacturing orders.

  • Provide postproduction customer warranty and support for customers.
  • Schedule vendors to perform service and repair work across the US.
  • Document non-conformances / warranty issues.
  • Open / Close warranty and customer services orders.
  • Provide technical support and basic troubleshooting information to field teams.
  • Work with Purchasing to develop national support networks.
  • Provide Supplier Quality Rating information.
  • Document and provide customer feedback to internal departments. (Production / Engineering / Project Management)
  • Develop method of customer acceptance for external service work provided.
  • Be knowledgeable of and cross-train on Quality System Requirements.
  • Understanding of calibration system requirements.

Required Skills:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent and 2 + years of Customer Service experience
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain customer relationships.
  • Take initiative to communicate and solve problems.
  • Willing to learn and grow.
  • Willingness to provide instruction to other employees.
  • Maintain a positive attitude towards customers and team members.

Preferred

  • Customer service experience in the automotive, trucking, or related industry.
  • Must be able to display mechanical aptitude and use basic hand tools such as a tape measure, level, drill, etc...
  • Knowledgeable of automotive and trucking parts.

Physical Requirements:

  • Sitting, standing, and walking in office, warehouse, and manufacturing environments.
  • Ability to climb in and out of trailers, scaffolding and up ladders.
  • Ability to bend, lift, and position self to move about the office, as needed.
  • Required use of fingers and hands to operate a computer.
  • Vision abilities required by this job include close and/or color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
