Job Summary
Provides day-to-day human resources support and counsel to a business unit and/or functional group covering many or most of the following areas: recruiting, compensation, benefits, training, employee and labor relations, employee communications, safety, and employment documentation. Ensures consistent application of policies and procedures. Serves as a liaison with internal departments/divisions and/or outside organizations.
Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities
- Provides guidance in setting strategic business direction for growth.
- Partners with Functional VP, HR VP and HR SME to develop and implement HR strategy that aligns and supports the functional strategy.
- Serves as business advisor/coach, facilitates change management, integration Initiatives, field visits, and supports the development of business initiatives and metrics to drive organizational growth.
- Manages succession planning, management development and performance management for functional groups.
- Provides tools and facilitates meetings to ensure ongoing development and follow-up to include talent assessment and calibration for GSC and field associates.
- Develop, deliver and facilitate a staffing strategy and process for recruiting and talent assessment.
- Acquires talent for Corporate, manager and field level positions.
- Assist in the development and implementation of compensation, career development, diversity, change management, and recognition programs.
- Lead process for continual review, education and dissemination of policies and procedures to limit legal exposure.
- Creates and maintains a culture that promotes a union-free environment.
- Leverage technology in process engineering to drive operational excellence.
- May lead corporate HR initiatives and may conduct HR training and development.
Environmental Job Requirements
- Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
- Typically requires overnight travel 20% to 50% of the time.

Prior experience supporting IT
Change Management (Support and help teams make org changes)
Agility (Ability to shift and be flexible to people/orgs, processes, and technology)
Strategic Planning (Talent Management, Succession Planning, Performance Management)
Communication (Excellent communication skills, facilitate communications both written and verbal, across multiple business units)
Coaching (Providing consultation and guiding stakeholders towards solutions)
Experience supporting corporate functions to include Director and above leaders
Working with shared service/COE model.
Prior experience leading team members.
Preferred Experience
- In-depth knowledge and experience with the regulatory environment impacting HR decisions.
- Complex project management experience.
- Proven experience supporting senior level executives.
- Graduate degree in related field preferred.
- Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline.
- Generally 7+ years of experience in a related field. May require certification. Advanced degree may offset less experience in some disciplines.
- Prior experience supporting distribution and/or sales organizations.
