This opportunity is in the Claims Department.

Our Claims department oversees both high-exposure workers' compensation and liability claims. As an unbundled carrier, we work actively with third-party administrators (TPAs) and self-administered accounts to assist in guiding claims to a successful resolution. As an excess carrier, the catastrophic claims we handle keep our group challenged, but the uniqueness provides plenty of growth opportunities.

Role Description:

In the role of TPA Operations Specialist you will be responsible for the investigation, analysis, reporting, and communication of various technical operations tasks related to Third Party Administrators' (TPA) Maintenance and tracking, including regulatory compliance reporting with respect to coverage and class codes, and analysis and payment of TPA Fees per Master Service Agreements (MSA's).

Your day-to-day responsibilities as a TPA Operations Specialist will include:

  • Processing monthly TPA fees including review and analysis of MSA's, preparing check requests and recording transactions. This requires detailed investigation and coordination of MSA's and invoices for appropriate billing charges based on loss and policy year
  • Updating documentation for all Large Casualty Lines, distributing to TPAs and maintaining internal tracking logs in company intranet
  • Timely tracking of new TPA approvals and record setup and updating any changes in current TPA records
  • Assisting with TPA metrics and data quality projects
  • Backing up team members as needed with phone calls, training and cross training, preparation and maintenance of logs and production reports

Qualifications:

Education:

  • High School diploma or equivalent

Required:

  • Dependable, detail-oriented, analytical, organized, and self-motivated
  • 45 WPM typing speed required
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook

Preferred:

  • 3-5 years of office experience preferred
