Food Sanitation Maintenance Associate * Full-Time * Dierbergs Markets

Food Sanitation Maintenance Associates keep our food production departments clean and running at the highest level . They are independent and have a strong attention to detail which helps with their responsibilities:

  • Perform a wide range of cleaning functions in the Bakery, Deli, Seafood, Meat, Salad Bar and Produce Departments
  • Primary duties will consist of the heavy-duty cleaning of walls, floors, ceiling, coolers, drains, equipment, and cases (after the product is removed) in all perishable departments
  • Operate commercial power equipment such as floor scrubbers, steamers, power washers, scrubber, buffer, trash compactor, etc.
  • Carry out daily cleaning, as well as weekly, monthly, semi-annual and annual deep-cleaning requirements


Essentials

  • At least 18 years of age
  • Strong attention to detail and aptitude to learn and use cleaning chemicals, including understanding basic information (chemical names and product labels)
  • The ability to navigate and move ladders frequently over extended periods of time
  • Ability to work independently
  • Read basic information (ex: chemical names and product labels
  • Ability to work independently
  • Flexibility to work a varied schedule that includes weekends and holidays
  • Prompt and regular attendance based on your schedule
  • Adherence to our dress code, appearance and personal hygiene standards
  • Associates in food handling departments are required to receive a Hepatitis A vaccination (MO only)


Physical Requirements

  • Lifting & Carrying - Up to 35 lbs
  • Pushing & Pulling - Up to 50 lbs of force
  • Occasional - Sit, kneel, crawl, climb, overhead reach, & power grip
  • Frequent - Stand, walk, head turn, trunk bend, stoop, squat, handling, side reach, grasp, pinch, finger manipulation, & feel
  • Constant - Forward reach
  • Mobile throughout the store; standing for 8 hours
  • Able to climb up and down ladders and move ladders frequently over extended periods of time
