Summary

The Trust Compliance Associate assists the Trust Compliance Director with ensuring that the trust company's operations and activities comply with all relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies. The Associate works closely with other departments and external regulatory bodies to ensure that the trust company operates in a compliant manner and maintains its reputation for integrity and trustworthiness.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assists the Director of Trust Compliance with managing the Trust Company's Compliance program.
  • Monitors trust activity for regulatory compliance.
  • Completes checklists and other job aids to verify compliance.
  • Uses appropriate resources to continue to expand compliance and regulatory knowledge.
  • Performs applicable administrative duties such as filing, preparing various spreadsheets and reports, performing or assisting with special projects, responding to phone calls, etc.

Qualifications

  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks, responsibilities, and deadlines.
  • Ability to follow through and accomplish goals.
  • Ability to manage expectations appropriately and use the firm's resources efficiently.
  • Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or practical problem-solving approaches.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently with an eye toward attention to detail and commitment to deadlines.
  • Ability to build relationships with business units.

Education & Experience

  • High School diploma required or equivalent experience.
  • No experience required. 1+ years' experience in a financial institution preferred.

    Systems & Technology

    • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
