Essential Functions*:

  • Provide Product/Process Engineering support for the Plastics Department in Shotshell Manufacturing.
  • Definition and documentation of manufacturing processes.
  • Partner with Manufacturing, Maintenance, Equipment Engineering, Quality Verification, and other Engineering disciplines to identify product/process challenges and recommend/implement practical corrective actions.
  • Plan and execute engineering projects in areas of considerable scope and complexity related to process improvement and cost reduction.
  • Design and evaluate alternative components and process changes to improve efficiency, performance, and reduce cost.
  • Support Continuous Improvement initiatives, Quality objectives, Statistical Process Control (SPC), and Safety Initiatives.

Position Requirements*:

  • Bachelor of Science or Master's Degree** in Engineering required. Mechanical, Chemical or Plastics Engineering preferred.
  • Six months recent or past related engineering experience. Experience within a fast-paced manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Prior project management experience with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously preferred.
  • Ammunition and firearm experience along with knowledge of the shooting industry preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office required; three-dimensional computer-aided modeling experience preferred.
  • Exceptional analytical, organizational, problem solving, mechanical, leadership, and project management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication (verbal and written), presentation, and facilitation skills.
  • Must be a highly motivated self-starter who can thrive in a team-oriented environment, with demonstrated leadership experience preferred.
  • Occasional travel (5%).
  • This position requires successful vetting as an Employee Possessor in accordance with U.S. Department of Justice and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives.
  • This position requires access to ITAR controlled technical data, and as such, employment will be contingent upon the candidate's ability to access ITAR controlled technical data pursuant to an export license approved by the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls, if required.
