The Aerospace & Defense Rotorcraft Engineering team is seeking a hard-working, qualified project engineer to help manage the full program lifecycle of the Rotorcraft IBF Product Portfolio. This exciting opportunity will present candidates exposure to all levels of a program lifecycle, including new business proposal development, leading execution of newly awarded design & development programs, oversee highly technical commercial & military certification efforts, prepare programs for production readiness, provide product support directly to end users, and participate in product non-conformance review boards. The successful candidate will work directly with the engineering team, sales, contracts, procurement, onsite production, subcontractors, and various internal and external stakeholders. This role is a part of the project engineering office reporting directly to the project engineering manager.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Utilizing your technical skills to work and manage multiple complex Rotorcraft Engine Inlet Barrier Filter Sub-System development programs from inception to completion.

  • Recognizing customer (internal and external) input and translating into product designs, applications, and technologies.

  • Coordinating project activities to meet demanding program schedules & achieve cost targets.

  • Utilizing established stage gated product lifecycle management practices to develop new products.

  • Planning and allocation of tasks and resources for technical team.

  • Responsible for the design and release of a portfolio of products ensuring timelines and customer requirements are met.

  • Becoming a subject matter expert in your assigned product portfolio/business unit.

  • Promoting technical collaboration across departments.

  • Serving as technical liaison to program management, operations/manufacturing, sales, management, and regulatory agencies.

  • Leading the product development and commercialization process by achieving program milestones such as SRR, PDR, CDR, QTP and QTR, including risk analysis.

  • Leading the delivery of technical design data, such as Airworthiness Instructions, Maintenance Manuals, Installation Procedures, Flight Manual Supplements, Provisioning & Configuration Data, Certification Plans.

  • Generate basis of estimates for material and labor on non-recurring initiatives.

  • Keeping abreast of industry trends and how they may impact new technologies. This may include the attendance of related industry conferences and trade shows.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited course of study in Engineering

  • 5+ years of related engineering work experience in an Engineering role

  • Must be U.S. persons (U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e., 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee) as this position requires use of information which is subject to export controls.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Aerospace propulsion experience a plus.

  • Previous demonstrated leadership skills.

  • Experience with FAA (STC) & Military Certification/Requirement Compliance

  • Ability to be strategic and visionary driving big picture engineering concepts, while preserving the details.

  • Demonstrated customer focus and strong communication skills across cross-cultural boundaries, and all levels of the organization.

  • Strong presentation skills.

  • Experience planning and managing timelines (MS Project experience is a plus).

  • Comfortable in making decisions and dealing with ambiguity.

  • Demonstrated flexibility when managing multiple projects and priorities.

  • Experience working in a matrix environment and partnering with groups such as engineering, operations, purchasing and sales.

  • Filtration / Fluid Dynamics knowledge/experience a plus.

  • Knowledge of SolidWorks and Teamcenter a plus

  • Ability to travel 10% domestic and/or international.
