All About You

We are seeking a highly motivated, full-time Lab Technician to support running the lab. The candidate will be involved in supporting all projects within the lab, ensuring their smooth operation and efficiency. Responsibilities will include maintaining competent cells and expression cells (both insect and mammalian cells), preparing gel running systems, and ensuring proper equipment upkeep. Additionally, the successful candidate will also allocate a portion of their time to share administrative duties with other team members. These tasks will involve inventory management and supply ordering, as well as overseeing regulatory compliance for lab safety and maintaining good laboratory practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in biochemistry, molecular biology, or biology-related field. Master's degree is preferred.
  • Previous hands-on laboratory experience, preferably in a molecular biology lab, is required. Significant laboratory experience obtained during undergraduate studies is acceptable.
  • Experience with standard molecular biology techniques (DNA/RNA preparation, PCR, cell culture, etc.) is required.
  • Familiarity with research laboratory operations including equipment maintenance, safety, compliance, and record keeping.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and maintaining good communication with lab leader and members.
