Role Description:

In the role of Legal Operations Analyst (internally known as "Legal Operations Analyst II"), you will handle organizational needs of Legal Department and the Company while maintaining regulatory compliance, operations and enhancements to Department's policies and technical operations. You will be responsible for the implementation, development and ongoing support of technical operations for the Legal Department. You will also be responsible for supporting Legal Department data needs across all functions of the Department.

Your day-to-day responsibilities as Legal Operations Analyst will include:

  • Supporting and maintaining corporate regulatory compliance filings and Tokio Marine-related reporting on compliance, litigation and corporate governance matters in a timely, efficient and compliant manner.
  • Working with Legal Department personnel, Information Technology and other stakeholders, participating in the analysis, design and implementation of enhancements to existing systems or future phases of on-going projects within the Legal Department.
  • Managing the validation, research and updating of system data and dashboards to achieve accuracy of Legal Department reporting, including Key Performance Indicators.
  • Providing technical support for cross-departmental initiatives, including working directly with the Claims Department on claim and coverage-related technical needs.
  • Supporting the planning, organizing and documentation of various department/company systems and projects. Reviewing proposed systems and make recommendations for appropriate action. Utilizing continuous improvement model to ensure that all systems are highly functional and take advantage of developing technologies.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Minimum of Bachelor's Degree required

Required Qualifications:

  • Must be able to support a team environment across departments and the entire Safety National organization.
  • Must be able to work in a fast paced environment, effectively making decisions, prioritizing tasks and working on multiple items simultaneously.
  • Must be able to maintain strict confidentiality with respect to Legal Department data and functions.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with ability to analyze and problem solve while working closely with others to coordinate and complete projects.
  • Exceptional proficiency in the use of all Microsoft Windows applications, including Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Access, along with user interface, database structure and business intelligence.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Legal training and/or previous experience in corporate legal department or law firm preferred but not required.
  • Experience with implementation of matter management, legal billing, contract lifecycle management and other systems supporting Legal Department functions preferred.

Compensation for the successful candidate will consider the candidate's particular combination of knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, and geographic location.
