Pharmacy Intern - Per Diem
Arrowhead Regional Medical Center
Hybrid Inpatient/Outpatient Pharmacy
Colton, CA

As a per diem, nonexempt CPS Solutions, LLC Pharmacy Intern at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center, you will work under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist to perform a variety of technician duties to become proficient. This includes general pharmacy practices, procedures, and etiquette. You will perform general drug inventory/reconciliations, medication delivery, and sterile compounding, as directed. Additional duties may include the following:

  • Patient consultation/education
  • Data gathering from electronic medical records
  • Drug information literature searches/reviews and monographs
  • Unit inspections
  • Performance improvement projects

Schedule:This per diem, nonexempt position will work a minimum of 12 hours each pay period between both inpatient and outpatient pharmacies.

Pay Range: $20-$25/hour based on qualifications

About the Facility:Arrowhead Regional Medical Center is a state-of-the-art 456-bed facility offering a 24-hour Emergency Department, Level 1 Trauma Center, Primary Stroke Center, three Family Health Centers, and the only Burn Center serving San Bernardino, Riverside, Inyo and Mono counties.CPS Solutions, LLC has partnered with the hospital to manage the day to day operations of this pharmacy. This position is an employee of CPS Solutions, LLC.

About the Pharmacies: Arrowhead provides both Outpatient and Inpatient Pharmacy Services. The Inpatient Pharmacy is open 24/7, 365 days a year, while the Outpatient Pharmacy is open Monday-Friday from 8:00am-9:00pm and weekends and holidays from 8:00am-7:30pm. The pharmacies utilize Pyxis, EPIC, and FSI.

Required Qualifications:

  • Current California Pharmacy Intern License in good standing
  • Must be actively enrolled in an accredited school of pharmacy as a 1st or 2nd year student

Hospital Requirements (may be required):

  • (PPD) TB Skin Test - Proof ofnegativeTB skin test within thelast 12 months
  • (MMR) Measles, Mumps and Rubella or A Blood Titer provingimmunity
  • Varicella -(2)documented doses or A Blood Titer proving
  • HepB3 Series(or declination)
  • (Flu) Influenza-required for hire between Oct 1st-April 30th
  • COVID Vaccine-Full
