Craftsmen Industries custom manufactures unique specialty trailers and vehicles and large format printed elements for experiential marketing and industrial solutions for brands across the industry spectrum including Boeing, PepsiCo, and Anheuser-Busch. Position Title: Account Executive - Aerospace or Defense Sales

Location: St. Charles, MO


Position Summary: Strategically create, develop, and execute a business plan for targeting the top tier Department of Defense Contractors and Federal Government. Work collaboratively as an engaged team player with proficient time management and a consultative selling approach.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop relationships with the top tier Defense Contractors, Aerospace Industry, and Federal Government.
  • Create strategic target account plans on how to navigate these large organizations and identify resources needed to drive growth.
  • Create and work a six-to-twelve-month sales plan and adjust accordingly to hit metrics and KPIs.
  • Generate $5M dollars of revenue in the first 12-18 months of employment.
  • Generate an additional $5M dollars of revenue in the second 12 months of employment.
  • Follow a sales process while being able to qualify opportunities and adapt/pivot as project changes.
  • Work in a team atmosphere to produce high quality proposals and sales agreements.
  • Expected to read, review, and negotiate commercial terms that eliminate risk for the company.

Required Skills:

High School diploma and must have at least 5 years of experience selling in defense, aerospace, or state/federal government contracts.

Must have at least 3-5 years of experience navigating large organization fulfillment processes.

Experience in multi-year contracts, financial intelligence, customer procurement portals, and proposal writing.

Experience leading cross functional teams to prepare formal documents to respond to customer Request for Proposals (RFPs).

Excellent listening and questioning skills, be highly motivated to achieve sales success, and reach agreed-upon goals.

Experience in consultative selling and team selling.

Ability to prospect and create something from nothing.

Technical knowledge around products.

Technique to maneuver large organizations effectively to generate results in a timely manner.

Experience with marketing to create content and go to market strategies that drive results.


Preferred Skills:

Knowledge of design and fabrication background.


Physical Skills:

Must be able to remain in a stationary position for long period of time, required to move about the office, use hands and fingers to operate office equipment.

Estimated travel time 20-30%.
