Description
- Expert level assistance with the PC and peripherals selection process in collaboration with Global C&P.
- Influence hardware (PC) and peripherals decisions for new development and changes to existing products.
- Expert level assistance with the PC and peripherals obsolescence planning including ongoing monitoring of existing company stock and vendor quantities.
- Accountable for proper documentation in accordance with design control.
- Research new technologies and provide recommendations for future product planning.
- Responsible for monitoring current technologies to ensure any impacts are proactively mitigated.
- Expert level monitoring of cyber security OS related vulnerabilities.
- Ensure latest cybersecurity patches and configurations are applied to the supported system platforms, conducting threat modeling and assessments to identify and incorporate counter measures.
- Expert level assistance with the definition of networking requirements.
- Troubleshoot PC, PC peripherals, and OS related complaints including leading root cause investigations and providing workaround solutions.
- Perform PC and OS impact assessments of system/component changes including proper documentation.
- Research and influence vendor decisions for PC hardware and peripherals.
- Represent BMX in collaborative efforts with outside vendors.
- Experience with creating PC, peripherals, and OS requirements and test cases.
- Experience with configuring new and updating existing Microsoft Windows OS platforms.
- Experience in Information Systems networking.
- Experience with Microsoft Power Shell scripting.
- Experience working in an ISO/FDA regulated environment.
- Ability to communicate professionally on the topic of a given product to a regulating authority.
- Capable of assisting with product and process quality monitoring and improvements as needed.
- Education/Experience: a degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. MS + 3 years of experience in a relevant area of expertise or BS + 5 years of experience in relevant area of expertise or 8 + years of experience with BMX products and processes.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Windows OS.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office productivity tools - primarily Excel, Word and Outlook, but also Visio, PowerPoint, and Project.
- Strong professional writing skills.
- Strong professional communication skills.
- Proven ability to negotiate and influence decisions within R&D and across multiple departments.
