We are currently hiring for someone to join our team in St. Louis, MO as a Patient Intake Coordinator. In this role you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring smooth operations in the intake process for our organization. You will be responsible for welcoming clients/patients, facilitating the intake process, verifying insurance coverage, scheduling appointments, and maintaining accurate records. With your strong organizational skills and attention to detail, you will contribute to the efficient functioning of our organization and provide support to clients/patients throughout their journey with us. Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcome clients/patients to the organization and effectively communicate referrals and client/patient information to all disciplines.

  • Thoroughly and accurately complete screening/admission paperwork, demonstrating understanding of requirements and importance.

  • Utilize basic comprehension of ICD-10 and HCPC/CPT codes and knowledge of therapy types.

  • Enter client/patient demographics into the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system and maintain up-to-date Census utilizing Bed Board.

  • Verify medical insurance coverage and benefits for each client/patient, ensuring appropriate financial clearance.

  • Schedule appointments for consultations, tests, and procedures, and answer phone and email inquiries in a timely manner.

  • Address client/patient complaints or concerns, promoting operational efficiency and compliance with organization regulations and policies.

  • Perform clerical work, such as filing, copying, or faxing, and prepare and maintain client/patient charts.

Education and Experience Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Past experience in patient intake or medical office administration preferred.
