This opportunity is in the Information Technology Department.

Role Description:

In the role of Business Analysis Manager (internally known as, Manager- Business Analyst), you will Lead, Manage and mentor a team of Business Analysis (BA) professionals. You will work with the Portfolio Management team and agile team leadership to understand resource needs and need-by dates. You will proper staffing levels within assigned BA team to meet planned project workload. You will work with department leadership and other stakeholders to improve BA methodologies, procedures and policies.

You will work closely with IS Managers, Department Managers, Project Owners, Product Owners, and team members to successfully complete assigned projects on time and within budget.

In this role some of the essential functions are:

  • Supervises assigned personnel, both FTE and Contractors, monitoring their individual work practices and core values ensuring that HR guidelines are followed.
  • Conducts performance reviews and participates in staffing interviews and selection.
  • Reports any BA deficiencies or issues with users to department management as needed.
  • Takes ownership of the BA process and daily management of the team, and provides assistance with reviewing their requirements and attending meetings with users to ensure that application owners and users are satisfied with the work product of the BA assigned to their projects.
  • Responsible for working closely with the project leadership team to understand project BA resource needs and project need-by dates, and for maintaining proper staffing levels within the assigned BA team to meet planned project workload.
  • Responsible for working with department leadership and other stakeholders in developing, improving and maintaining a consistent business requirement gathering and documentation process.
  • Supports adherence to the Project Management Life Cycle (PMLC) and System Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

Qualifications:

Education:

A Bachelor's degree (preferable) or appropriate combination of education and experience 5 years' experience leading and/or managing technical teams

MBA or other post-graduate education is a plus.

Required Qualifications:

  • Exhibits a sound sense of business and technological acumen.
  • Must be able to train and mentor business analysis professionals.
  • Must be proficient in verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Demonstrates an ability to focus on business and IT relationships.
  • Must be presently authorized to work in the U.S. without a requirement for work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications and experience working in a SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework for Enterprise) methodology highly preferred.
  • Achievement of a recognized professional Business Analysis certification is a plus.
  • Familiarity with the implementation and use of various development methodologies including in-depth knowledge of the agile development methodologies. SAFe knowledge/experience is a plus.
  • Experience in the insurance industry is a plus.
  • Experience with Guidewire and Salesforce applications is a plus.
  • Knowledge and experience utilizing Business Process Modeling (BPM) and Robotic Process Automation (RPA) tools and techniques is a plus.

Compensation for the successful candidate will consider the candidate's particular combination of knowledge, skills, competencies, experience and geographical location.
