Primary Responsibilities

In the role of St. Louis Field Services Manager, we'll count on you to

  • Take responsibility for a staff of construction managers, resident engineers, resident project representatives, inspectors, office contract administration staff, and other technical staff involved in the construction oversight of various projects.
  • May function as the Construction Manager, Project Manager, or Resident Project Representative on projects where appropriate. Take responsibility for production on projects in addition to management responsibilities. Other duties will include staff scheduling and oversight as well as professional development.
  • Take responsibility for operations of production section including staff development, profitability, morale, quality control and marketing support. Select, train, develop and manage technical personnel.
  • This role will require coordination with the KS/MO Area Field Services Manager, the department, and respective section managers to maximize field services provided to HDR clients. Take administrative responsibility for section staff and technical service functions, and lead and coordinate services with other sections.
  • Projects may include civil infrastructure such as roads, bridges, class 1 railroad projects, and other transportation related infrastructure. Projects may also include Water or Wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, conveyance, power and energy, and other related infrastructure.
  • Be involved with clients in marketing, planning, proposals, interviews, project production, and related issues. Work cooperatively with National Directors and marketing staff in local and national marketing and production efforts.
  • See that all work is planned, organized, controlled, and evaluated through proactive project management system. Will be responsible for verifying that Health & Safety protocols are followed. Responsible for implementing corporate policies, monitor and support company policy, and establishment and/or maintenance of engineering quality control processes and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as needed.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Must have 10 years' experience in construction management and/or management.
  • Professional registration or license.
  • Experience in alternative delivery construction is a plus.
  • Proven leadership and organizational skills.
  • Strong Communication and listening skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments.
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must.

Preferred Qualifications

* BS/in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline is preferred.
* PE License Preferred.
* DOT Certifications and Experience
* Freight Rail Experience
* Water/Wastewater Certifications and Experience
* Preference given to local candidates.
