We are currently hiring for someone to join our team in St. Louis, MO as a Clinical Therapist in our Integrated Health Services department. In this role you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive assessments, developing treatment plans, and delivering evidence-based therapy to clients with substance use disorders and mental health issues. Your responsibilities will include intake screenings, individual and group therapy sessions, crisis intervention, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct intake/screening and comprehensive assessments within specified time frames, adhering to state regulatory and agency standards.

  • Determine and document diagnoses based on comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.

  • Participate in clinical staffing meetings, providing feedback on client cases and collaborating with the treatment team.

  • Maintain positive relationships with clients, referral sources, and coworkers, adhering to ethical standards and agency policies.

  • Provide crisis intervention and support as needed, handling emergency situations effectively.

  • Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, including specialty services such as trauma and co-occurring therapy.

  • Ensure accurate documentation of all services provided, following DMH/CARF/agency standards.

  • Provide clinical supervision and consultation to treatment team members when necessary.

  • Represent the agency professionally within the community and demonstrate commitment to its goals and objectives.

  • Complete all mandatory trainings, focusing on evidence-based practices and improved clinical skill sets.

Experience and Education Qualifications:

  • Licensure with the applicable board of professional registration for the state of practice:

    • Missouri: Provisional Licensed (PLPC) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Provisional Licensed (LMSW) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT).

    • Kansas: Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) or Licensed Specialist Clinical Social Worker (LSCSW).

    • Illinois: Licensed by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation.

  • Qualified Mental Health Professional for Missouri only, possessing a master's or doctorate degree in counseling-related fields with one year of supervised experience.

Additional Requirements:

  • Expertise in diagnostic criteria for substance use disorders and mental health issues.

  • Thorough knowledge of caseload management, rehabilitation methods, and principles of mental health and substance use disorder treatment.

  • Familiarity with legal requirements and court procedures related to treating mental health and substance use disorders.

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for clear and concise reporting.

  • Ability to develop, coordinate, and evaluate services within the assigned program.

  • Proficiency in conducting individual and group therapy sessions.

  • Experience in crisis intervention and handling emergency situations.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards.
