Job Overview:
We are seeking an Admissions Coordinator to join our team and play a pivotal role in managing the intake process for our programs. The Admissions Coordinator will be responsible for responding to new referrals, maintaining waiting lists, facilitating screenings, completing admissions paperwork, and ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to new referrals and document them appropriately.
  • Maintain waiting lists in compliance with CARF and DMH standards.
  • Foster positive, professional relationships with referral sources, clients, and coworkers.
  • Ensure program census is maintained according to service model.
  • Correct any file/charting technical deficiencies promptly.
  • Facilitate screenings via phone or face-to-face.
  • Offer administrative support to clinical staff as needed.
  • Complete admissions paperwork accurately and timely in EMR & other applicable databases.
  • Coordinate insurance information with Care Managers for clients.
  • Enter data into computer database within specified timeframes.
  • Coordinate with billing department to ensure timely completion and batching of admissions/transfers/discharges.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to create a welcoming environment for new clients.
  • Assist with filing, chart review, and compiling chart information.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors or executive team members.

Experience and Education Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma
