The basics of this position:

The Radiologic Technology program at STLCC-Forest Park is seeking an Adjunct Faculty member. The position is a part-time, continuing position, set to begin in January 2024. The hire will be made at the level of Instructor I, Instructor II, or Assistant Professor, depending on the candidate's qualifications and teaching experience. Preference will be given to candidates with community college teaching experience in the profession of radiography. The new Radiologic Technology adjunct faculty member will be expected to teach, mentor students and fulfill some administrative duties within the Radiologic Technology program.

What you'll do:

  • Provide instruction and support to students at assigned clinical sites. Monitor, document, and report student progress. Communicate with clinical preceptors and staff technologists to address any concerns or issues that arise. Evaluate student clinical performance. Participate in the accreditation and assessment process. Support the program director to assure effective program operations. Participate in periodic review and revision of course materials. Assist with classroom instruction when needed. Maintain current knowledge of professional discipline, as appropriate. Maintain appropriate expertise and competence through continuing professional development.

Education, experience, and other requirements:

Current R.T. (R) registration
Three years of work experience as a radiographer
Graduate of JRCERT accredited Radiologic Technology program

Preferred Qualifications:

Three years of full-time work experience as a radiographer
ARRT certification in additional modalities
