Farnsworth Group is seeking a Sr. Transportation Engineer in our St. Louis, MO office. This is an exciting opportunity for a Transportation Project Manager who is looking to hone their management skills while providing and making a direct impact to already established growing organization!
Job Activities:
  • Serves as project manager with autonomy for project related tasks and as a designated client contact. May have project management responsibilities on multiple projects.
  • Responsibility for project schedules and timely completion of projects.
  • Assists in the coordination of estimating, scoping and marketing strategies for proposed projects.
  • Assists in the preparation of engineering agreements for projects.
  • Provides street and highway design engineering analysis and computations
  • Prepares or modifies reports, specifications, plans, studies, permits and designs for various projects.
  • May delegate and/or supervise the work of other engineer's activities.
  • Actively participates in business development efforts and attends client meetings and makes presentations in support of the client/project manager.
Specific Requirements include:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited Civil, Transportation, or Traffic Engineer program
  • 10-15 years transportation or traffic engineering experience
  • MODOT or local MO project experience is required
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)
  • Ability to manage and collaborate with Engineers, Technicians, Clients, and Administrators
  • Ability to contribute to several projects simultaneously
  • Working experience with Microsoft Office, MicroStation, ORD, and Geopak preferred
