In this role, you will be responsible for the development, management, and coordination planning for the delivery and facilitation of technical and development programs, working with the Core Technical Training Lead. You will focus on improving Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) of operations and support personnel. You will partner with subject matter experts to collaborate on programs, deliver curriculum, and assess outcomes for enhancing the development of our team members. You collaborate on the development and delivery of professional development content to a wide range of audiences and must be comfortable delivering presentations, both in-person and using virtual digital tools. You will conduct follow-up to determine applicability of course materials. In addition, you will also partner closely with instructional designers to have end-to-end program design, delivery and improvement ownership for professional development and functional training offerings.

As a Craft Development Specialist at Haskell, you will design, coordinate, and deliver Craft Training and provide facilitation of Jobsite Safety Training that supports strategic goals geared toward driving operational excellence. You will help enhance Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA's) of the field PCE, Craft, Construction Operations, and Support personnel which will lead them to deliver a World Class Client Experience.

You will take a leadership role in the design and delivery of craft training in the field (on the jobsite) by determining specific objectives using analysis of overall needs and specific skill or knowledge gaps in coordination with field supervisory leadership. Your strong communication skills will ensure that all field staff feel confident and equipped to execute high-quality work.

Role Overview

Manage the development of craft training materials including outlines, text, handouts, hands on exercises, development of training aids, and training material evaluations utilizing NCCER generated and/or customized training curriculum.
• Deliver craft training to our Permanent Craft Employees (PCE's) utilizing NCCER generated and/or customized training curriculum. This includes 25% classroom and 75% hands on delivery of content in a "performance-based" model.
• Establish processes to monitor results of craft training participants (metrics and analytics) and collect feedback on training/facilitators/materials to determine effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
• Determine appropriate instructional training methods utilized (both traditional classroom and hands-on skills-based) to include individual and group instruction, lectures (in-house or vendor-delivered), hands-on demonstrations, and jobsite skills assessments and performance verifications.
• Confer with management to identify critical craft and safety training needs based on business unit strategic goals or individual development and collaborates the coordination of training on the jobsite.

Qualifications

• Experience in designing and delivering craft field training in carpentry and mechanical pipelaying to our Permanent Craft Employees (PCEs).
• Experience at the Superintendent level, for field construction processes and principles.
• Experience in classroom and hands-on skill-based delivery of training to our field team members to include craft, mechanical, and safety-related training.
• High school education or better. Established 5+ years related work experience in the workforce training and development field.
• The ideal candidate will be NCCER certified and have field experience in one of the following roles: Craft Foreman or Leadman/Journeyman with team leadership experience, Construction Manager, Assistant Superintendent, and/or Superintendent.
• Ability to travel frequently (Approx. 75%) to various job site locations.

While performing the duties of this job, this position is required to have ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations; and the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of 10-50 pounds. Requires good hand-eye coordination, and arm, hand and finger dexterity, including the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment and read application/form information.
