All About You

Summary

In accordance with all NCAA, conference, and university policies the position of the Assistant Director of Athletic Development will be responsible for driving revenue in support of Saint Louis University Athletics. Responsibilities include the cultivation and solicitation of annual gifts, assisting with premium seating and a focus on parent/family giving. The Assistant Director will work closely with the Sr. Associate Athletic Director to strategize opportunities to increase giving for SLU Athletics.

Job Responsibilities

  • Identifies, cultivates and solicits annual gifts

  • Maintains a portfolio of annual donors to the Billiken Club

  • Responsible for conducting 10-15 visits per month

  • Assists the Assistant Athletic Director for Ticketing on a strategy to drive revenue through premium seating

  • Focuses on current and former parent giving

  • Assists in sport specific giving programs and works as a liaison with certain teams

  • Assists with all events and donor hospitality spaces with specific sports

  • Manages other external initiatives

  • Performs other duties as assigned

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Knowledge of development/fundraising concepts and appropriate solicitation techniques

  • Strong interpersonal/human relations skills

  • Strong verbal and professional written communication skills

  • Marketing and presentation skills

  • Project management skills

  • Ability to interact with diplomacy and tact amid influential clients and diverse groups

  • Ability to maintain relationships with significant and influential individuals

  • Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality

  • Ability to travel strategically and obtain results

Minimum Qualifications - Bachelor's degree supplemented withthree years of experience in fundraising or premium seating (collegiate athletics experience preferred). Including experience with donor software and fundraising, event management experience. An equivalent combination of education, training and experience will be considered. (Additional requirements may be designated by position.)
