Job Summary

Leads a team of resources to accelerate maturation of Supplier Governance organization:

  • Demonstrates passion, innovation and agility while delivering exceptional results, serving as role model
  • Provides vision, leadership, and guidance to drive evolution of team towards an enterprise support model
  • Maintains and improves processes that position team as SME and strategic leader in the management of supplier
    performance
  • Instills a data driven approach throughout the team that promotes visibility, collaboration and high performance
  • Delivers coaching, training and development to new and current staff
  • Supports team through escalation process, driving critical issue resolution through collaboration with senior
    leadership internally and/or externally

Drives implementation of departmental vision to enable optimal value delivery:

  • Translates broader vision into tactical action plan that can be pursued by the team
  • Develops scalable and adaptable resource allocation strategies that cost effectively delivers departmental objectives
  • Challenges team with stretched, but achievable, goals that will drive a successful and iterative evolution of the team

Spearheads the development and maintenance of inter-departmental relationships to expand the influence and scope of team
activities:

  • Develops a self-guided understanding of internal stakeholder groups/responsibilities to identify areas of relationship
    building opportunity
  • Proactively seeks out and establishes new relationships within the organization, aligning mutual direction in pursuit of
    team goals
  • Communicates effectively to drive cross-functional collaboration at all levels

  • Owns execution and cross-functional accountability throughouot WWT Supply Chain
  • Acts as thought leader to challenge cross-functional teams, elevate performance and ensure continous improvement through the WWT Supply Chain
  • Drives strategic supply chain best practices to optimize overall operational performance across WWT Supply Chain
  • Uses expertise in effective process and workflow design to drive operational excellence across WWT Supply Chain
  • Educates teams and developing other leaders in best in class supply chain initiativesh
  • Exhibits a potential for director level operational leadership by showcasing diversity of thought and elevating the performance and results of others within the team
  • Assembles talented teams by identifying and hiring the best people
  • Cares genuinely about people on their team, both professionally and personally, and appreciates the contributions of each
  • Treats direct reports fairly, with positive intentions, and does not play favorites
  • Addresses challenging direct reports in a timely manner through effective coaching
  • Delegates work to direct reports, trusting them to perform without constant involvement
  • Emphasizes the continued development of direct reports, challing and enabling them to grow professionally

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field required
  • A minimum of 8 years' progressive experience in related field
  • A combination of education, training and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Requires at least 8 years of prior experience in supplier management, procurement or related role
  • Proven track record of delivering results through process development and governance oversight
  • Prior experience of successfully managing direct reports, preferably managing managers
  • Advanced degree a plus

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Core functional/technical skills required include: Business partnership & consulting; contracting; multi-tasking and
    prioritization; negotiation and influence; relationship management; systems thinking; technical
    communication/presentation
  • Additional functional/technical skills required include: Data analysis; supplier management skills; sourcing skills; category
    knowledge; WWT knowledge; job specific software
  • Basic understanding of technical subject matter inherent in hardware, software, and services supplier relationships
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with ability to communicate through all levels of organization
  • This position is required to work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on doing whatever it takes to get the job done
    and deliver customer delight
  • The nature of the role requires an ability to deliver high quality, thorough and accurate work on deadlines through
    successful navigation of shifting customer requirements and competing organizational demands
  • Standard business hours are generally observed, with work from home schedules and flexibility on start/end times
  • This role will be expected to work in an open-office environment with desk sharing/hoteling practices. Travel between
    our Maryland Heights, MO and Edwardsville, IL locations is common. Standard business hours are generally observed, withwork from home schedules and flexibility on start/end times.
  • Estimated amount of time up to 10% of the time Domestic and International Travel
