Job Description:

Working in a team environment with other members to establish efficient methods and processes, assist with new or improved components and product designs; review, verify and validate designs/drawings and update work instructions and bills of material as components evolve with the product.

Responsibilities:

  • Train, assist and support team members in producing quality parts and equipment and in completing all process requirements, including engineering change requests, developing product designs and work instructions, component drawings and schematics of equipment systems.
  • Design, prototype and test new designs and products for components to comply with all applicable safety regulations and standards.
  • Support production team members in the production of equipment and in the development and implementation of new designs and prototype components, analyzing specifications to determine feasibility of proposals.
  • Verify dimensions and conformance of finished pieces to specifications, using precision measuring instruments.
  • Maintain documentation on existing and new products, including engineering change notifications, prints and schematics
  • Confer with production team members and others to resolve production and supplier concerns.
  • Make changes to bills of materials, verify component information, update and maintain product documentation and other documentation as required.
  • Perform work in a safe manner, following all safety rules
  • Adhere to EEO and harassment policies and insure all other policies and procedures are followed.
  • Work with suppliers to ensure TEREX designed parts are manufactured to specifications.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education/Training: BS degree or equivalent experience

Experience: minimum of2 years in engineering environment

Skills:

Working knowledge of ANSI/ISO Standards

Mechanical aptitude - experience with electrical and hydraulic systems, welding and fabrication procedures

Ability to multi-task

Utilize AutoCAD and 3-D modeling systems like Solidworks, Catia

Practical understanding and experience with various aspects of equipment design and development; including various analysis and testing protocols, installation requirements and component requirements.
